2026-02-01_G Roggero on operaist limits

“Independently of the evaluations we might make of particular operaist groups, they shared a general limit: although on a theoretical and sometimes practical plane they were able to anticipate emerging movements, characteristics, and subjectivities in the changing class composition, they had difficulty translating this into an appropriate organizational form. In fact, we could say that organization was the black hole of all the operaist groups. And the same can be said of the different declinations of Autonomia: although there were important experiments in organizing the social worker at a local level, they never had more than a fragmentary character.”
